Media for Future – Melhorar o jornalismo sobre o clima através da colaboração
As alterações climáticas são um dos maiores desafios globais, exigindo uma comunicação precisa, convincente e orientada para a ação. O projeto Erasmus+ Media for Future reúne cientistas e jornalistas para reforçar a sua capacidade de comunicar eficazmente com públicos diversos, sensibilizar para a urgência das alterações climáticas e inspirar a ação.
No seu núcleo, o projeto desenvolve uma plataforma única para a comunicação sobre o clima, dotando os profissionais dos meios de comunicação social e os investigadores dos conhecimentos e ferramentas necessários para um jornalismo climático de elevada qualidade. As principais atividades incluem:

- Criar um centro de informação que promova a literacia climática e forneça uma base de conhecimentos estruturada.
- Oferecer formação e apoio a jornalistas e cientistas para melhorar a sua capacidade de comunicar eficazmente os temas climáticos.
- Fomentar uma comunidade de prática ativa, permitindo o intercâmbio e a colaboração entre jornalistas, cientistas e outros actores relevantes através de eventos virtuais e presenciais.
- Desenvolver diretrizes e um curso misto sobre jornalismo climático na prática.
- Apresentar exemplos de bom jornalismo sobre o clima para inspirar e orientar os profissionais.
Através destas iniciativas, a Media for Future contribui para um jornalismo sobre o clima mais fiável, cativante e com maior impacto, ajudando a sociedade a compreender melhor e a responder à crise climática.

Deutsche Toleranzstiftung, or DTS („German tolerance foundation“), is a foundation from Leipzig in Saxony, which focusses on inter-cultural and inter-religious activities. It was founded in 2019 with the goal of bringing people with different opinions and convictions back into dialogue with each other. The foundation is committed to encouraging a change of perspectives, fomenting dialogue and broadening horizons. The DCU Institute for Climate and Society is Ireland’s first academic research centre focused on social science and humanities perspectives on the climate crisis. The Institute’s research, education, and engagement activities start from the premise that the solutions to climate change are available, and that the blocks to action are to be found in social processes and dynamics. The mission of the Institute is to shape and support societal responses to climate change in Ireland and around the world through high-quality research and expertise. forum for journalism and media (fjum) – As a non-profit organisation, fjum fosters quality journalism through innovative advanced training, orientation and networking on an international level in a time of digital and structural change. Over 8,000 journalists, disseminators, and interested parties from Austria and Europe have taken part in our seminars, events, and panel discussions to date. We are constantly expanding our network and focus on international cooperations. fjum_forum for journalism and media was founded in 2011 with the support of the City of Vienna. » Website

Náttúrustofa Vestfjarða is an institute of natural sciences in Iceland, located in Bolungarvík. It is one of 8 nature centres in the country. NAVE is a life science research institution which focuses on research related to birds, plants, fish, marine benthic invertebrates, and freshwater organisms. The institution is also home to one of Iceland´s leading archaeological research groups. It´s services include Environmental Impact Monitoring in diverse scenarios ranging from green energy plans to landfills to road construction projects.
