  • How are war and armed conflict reshaping the climate crisis – and how should journalists report on it? In this Q&A session, environmental and climate journalist Angelina Davydova will explore the complex intersections between war, environmental damage, and global climate policy. Drawing on her experience covering climate negotiations, civil society, and the environmental consequences of the war in Ukraine, she will provide insights into how conflict impacts ecosystems, emissions, and international cooperation. The session will also focus on the challenges of reporting on these overlapping crises: How can journalists make environmental consequences of war visible? What stories are missing from current coverage? And how do geopolitical conflicts reshape climate action globally? Angelina Davydova is a Berlin-based environmental journalist who has been reporting on climate policy and UN climate negotiations since 2008 and works across international media, NGOs, and think tanks. You can post questions in this group until 30 April 2026.
